Some stayed, some went - there was plenty of good times had at TDU in Atown. Check out some of the antics on the photo page, Lee got to meet Sanchez, Mal & Tim were separated for longer than 2 days, Benzo let his hair down at Hungry Jacks again and the rest of us trained hard.... maybe?

Who will wear the nacional strip come Jan 10, 2010?

Tuesday 5th  Jan 2010

Time has come - Nationals for Nacional - 5 of the boys are racing this weekend in Buninyong-Ballarat along side the likes of Robbie McEwen, Simon Gerrans, Michael Rogers, Cameron & Travis Meyer. Scody Men’s Road race over 163.2km is going to prove tough for all involved, but the boys will be out to show their best efforts.

Check out the start list  at the official site. The boys have been out and about soaking up the weather training hard, check out some shots on the photos page.

This time of year...

Friday 18th  Dec 2009

Hey Ho! It’s that special time of year when you’ve gotta search high & low to find a fave cafe which is still open, meet there, get your set sorted, then head out on some mega-long training rides, sans commuters & their cars... merry ol time indeed... We’ll be racing at Glenvale this Sunday and at SKCC crits in the upcoming weeks... see you at the races, or out on the road training. Have a safe summer break!

Tour of Bright wrap up

Wednesday 9th  Dec 2009

Well it was a great weekend - lots of hard racing - and the results are up - check them here

All the team did very well, we all rode away very happy and look forward to next year. Nick was lucky enough to take out 2nd in the sprint jersey competition and Lee was unlucky enough to be asked not to ride stage 2! It was a learning experience for all of us, and we definitely came away with a lot. Thanks for the support!

Some of the blurriest photos you’ve ever seen, taken by Lee Turner are also on the photo page.

Tim takes out 12hr race...

Saturday 7th  Nov 2009

Congratulations to Tim who along with his partner Brett Kellet, raced the 12hr at Mt Beauty to win!

The boys took the win by 8mins in the male pairs category and possibly more impressively, 5th place overall against the more widely resourced teams of 3 and 4 riders (and much younger ones also).

Lygon St Jayco Herald Sun Tour race - tick that box!

Saturday 17th Oct 2009

Great day out, weather held off, our family & friends came down and watched, cheered, and wowed at 45 minutes of bikes, lycra & zipping wheels unfolded before them. A number of people took photos of the race and they are posted here, we'd like the thank Ernie & Lloyd for capturing some great moments - I'm sure that you will also be able to check out shots on skcc.com.au thanks to Ernie!

With 130 starters and 40 finishers - the Nacional boys did well to get 5 out of 8 home - the hot dog course makes for tough racing conditions, lots of close calls, burning rubber smelt from brake pads seizing and the Crow was in full vocal flight blasting commands at everyone! Thank you for everyone who helped - said hello, patted us on our backs and came down to support! Big props to Mal who came off and took a lap out then rejoined the race to finish in the top 20, he unfortunately sustained a clean broken wrist in the fall.

HK @ your service all week Jayco Herald Sun Tour

Sunday 11th Oct 2009

Hayden is rocking out the coffee machine with Michael from Soul Kitchen for the whole week at the Sun Tour - I can vouch for the soy latte - bon soy - yes! If you get to the tour go say g’day to the boys they’ll be with the SRAM bus & team.

Round 2 breakout @ SKCC & Ballarat JHST crit

Sunday 11th Oct 2009

Cross winds and a up & down main st Ballarat hot dog circuit proved very tough going for Mark & Sime, whilst Tim, Mal & Lee made a great showing down at SKCC - break aways, hard work, and plenty of colour was shown. New bikes where put to the test as well - mmmmmmmmmmm Dogma!

Rained out @ Sandown CCCC

Tuesday 7th Oct 2009

Southerly winds & rain stopped the racing 15mins  into it at Sandown so Mark & Sime rode home soaking wet with Wade & Loaksy - hot shower!

First race @ SKCC -

Sunday 4th Oct 2009

First day out on the track at St Kilda crits - good times all boys present and accounted for, Paulie even gave us a motorpace down to the start line-  was great to be out there dodgy the land-mines and back in the thick of it. Everyone finished - so it was a successful day - ended at Nacional on the long table - coffee!!

This weekend - let’s race!
